7-day Cross Country Group Tours

Tours run from Thursday evening to the following Thursday morning. Included is airport pickup and drop off at hotel, all hotels, three meals a day – entrees only (except arriving Thursday and departing Thursday), including tips, tour transportation, entry fees to places we visit, and domestic flight back to Panama City.

We suggest you arrive in Panama City, Tocumen Airport, on the Thursday before the tour starts, and plan on leaving the following Thursday afternoon from Tocumen Airport.  We will gladly assist you in arranging the best flights that work with the tour schedule.

And, of course, like all our group and private tours, you will leave with the personal cell phone and emails of the best relocation experts in Panama, Oscar, Megan & Rod, to assist you in your future move to Panama.

3-day Chiriquí Highlands Group Tour

Four nights accommodation (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday), David airport Pickup and drop off, all transportation, all breakfasts and Lunches, A last evening wind-up dinner party with other expats to chat with.

And, of course, like all our group and private tours, you will leave with the personal cell phone and emails of the best relocation experts in Panama, Oscar, Megan & Rod, to assist you in your future move to Panama.

7-Day Cross Country Group Tour

Meals on the arriving Thursday, lunch and dinner on the departing Thursday.
Alcoholic beverages, appetizers, deserts, snacks, souvenirs, personal tips, and events or activities not on the tour itinerary.

3-Day Chiriquí highlands Group Tours

Dinner Monday and Tuesday night, Alcoholic beverages, appetizers, deserts, snacks, souvenirs, personal tips, and events or activities not on the tour itinerary.

Citizens of the following countries only need a passport to enter Panama: Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Singapore, Taiwan, and the United States.

Your passport must have at least 6 months until it expires, and you must have a return ticket already purchased, or they will not let you get on the plane at your international departure.

You will fly into Tocumen Airport (PTY)

3-Day Chiriquí Highlands Tour

You will first fly into Tocumen Airport (PTY).  Then you will fly Domestically to David, Chiriquí (DAV). If you arrive before 2 PM, you should be able to do this the same day.  Otherwise you will have to spend the night, and fly in the morning.  Best airline from PTY to David is Copa Airlines.

7-Day Cross Country Group Tour

We will be traveling almost every day, 7 nights, 5 different hotels, and you will be dragging your luggage around everywhere we go. Sorry, Oscar is not the luggage boy :) The less luggage the more room we have in the van, and the quicker we can move in and out of hotels, From Saturday when we leave Panama City to arriving in Boquete Tuesday morning, we only allow carry-on luggage in the van, no large checked bags. If you are staying late after the tour, and have a checked bag, we have a secure area at the hotel that it can be stored, and when you return to Panama City it can be picked up there. If you are staying later in Boquete area, we will ship your checked bag back to Boquete, and it will be at the Boquete hotel when you arrive. So, if you are traveling with both checked and carry-on, then the morning we leave the Panama City hotel, pack everything you will need for the next 3 nights in your carry-on, and we will either store (in Panama City) or ship (to Boquete) your checked luggage. We will provide complementary laundry service on the Tuesday if needed, as we know some of you are staying a few extra days.

3-Day Chiriquí Highlands Group Tour

We ask that you travel with carry on luggage only.  If you are staying after the tour in Chiriquí, and need more luggage, we will make arrangements for you to bring more luggage.

7-Day Cross Country Group Tour

We will be visiting climates that range in daily high temperatures from 20 to 35 degrees Celsius (68 – 95 F) So bring everything from jeans, khakis, shorts, light shirts, and of course some swimwear, and the most important, comfortable shoes. The coolest the nights in the mountain destinations will be is 18 Celsius (65 F), so only a light sweater or jacket is required.

3-Day Chiriquí Highlands Group Tour

On the first morning, we will be visiting a Beach south of David, other than that most of the three days will be in the mountains, with temps averaging between 65 at night, and 75 during the day.

January through March is the dry season in Panama, no rain. April through November is the rainy season. Typically starting in April, you will have a couple days a week, in the late afternoon, where they will be a shower for an hour, progressing to November, where every day you can expect some rain in the afternoons. Don’t worry, we provide the umbrellas.

This is a very important thing to discuss. Panama is not anything like North America or Europe, with their strong accessibility laws. Getting around most areas of Panama, on an electric scooter or in a wheelchair, would be very difficult. Even using a walker could prove troublesome.

We will be walking several blocks each day, maybe up to one mile in walking distance on some days, and in Panama, the sidewalks, if there are any, are always uneven. If you are concerned about your physical ability on this tour, please contact us to discuss more.

Our tours are not handicap accessible, that is just not possible here for us to do that.

Yes, it will, but it can be very expensive. Check with your local provider for an international calling and data plan for the time you will be here. If you have an unlocked phone, you can pick up a sim card here for $2 and get data for the week for $15. In the van, we can provide WIFI if you need it, and most restaurants, and all our hotels will have WIFI.

Many places take credit and debit cards, but also many do not. During the tour we pay all expenses except for snacks and shopping, we suggest you bring some cash on the trip, and ATM’s work here also.

7-Day Cross Country Group Tour

We will provide you with a complementary, one load, laundry service on the Tuesday of the tour, so for those of you saying a bit longer, you can get some clean clothes, and pack less.

3-Day Chiriquí Highlands Group Tour

No laundry service provided. The hotel will send out laundry for a fee

You may cancel or change your tour date to another available date in the future up to 45 days before your tour start date. If canceling a full refund will be issued for your deposit.

There will be no refunds or date changes within 45 days of your tour start date.

If your tour is less than 45 days away, and you decide not to come on the tour or are unable to come on the tour, for what ever reason, you will not receive a refund. It is your responsibility to purchase trip cancellation insurance to cover your travel costs in case of illness, family emergency, bad weather cancellations, or your country imposing travel restrictions, or any other reason that prevents you from coming on your tour.

If you do not show up for a Tour, or leave during the tour, there will not be any refunds.

RE: COVID-19 – In the event that Panama imposes restrictions, within 45 days of a tour, that prevents us from doing that tour, there will be no refunds, but a full credit will be issued for you to come at a later date, for up to two years.

We will try to accommodate more things here,if you are unsure, please contact us before booking. Things like Gluten free or diabetic diets can be accommodate in most areas of Panama, but we always recommend bringing your own snacks for the road, or some alternative meal replacements, just in case.

Of course we will. We can certainly help you out and recommend places to stay. If you are arriving early or staying after the tour, you must let us know 45 days before the start date of the tour, so we can assist you.

(For the 7-Day Cross Country Group Tour Only) For example, some people stay a few extra days in Boquete (where the tour ends) so if we know, we can schedule your included flight from David Back to panama City to co-inside with your return flight home, and we book you extra days at the Hotel we stay at at our discounted rates. If you decide to spend a few extra days in Bocas Del Toro, we can do the same, book a flight for you from Bocas to Panama City when you are finished there, we will even reserve the shuttle for you in Boquete.

Any last minute changes may incur change fees, so let us know early.
